Privacy notice / 8 September 2026
Your interest.
Handled with care.
Runnerless is an early-stage project operated by Paweł Chojnacki. For privacy questions or removal requests, contact hello@runnerlesshq.com.
What we collect
When you sign up, we save your email, signup time, the first Runnerless domain you used, campaign labels, the referring website’s hostname, and the version and time of your consent. We do not save the referring page’s path or query string. Email addresses are deduplicated across runnerlesshq.com and runnerless.dev.
You may then tell us your current CI, biggest pain, and hosted or self-hosted preference. Those questions are optional; skipping them keeps your signup. Please do not include secrets or sensitive information in your answer.
Why we collect it
We use the details you consent to provide to record early interest and understand which problems to build for. These are unverified interest signups. This launch sends no confirmation emails or newsletters. Submitting the form does not create a product account.
Page-level measurement
We record landing page views, whether an early-access action was used, new signups, and completed optional answers. Each page load gets a temporary random identifier in memory to avoid counting the same event twice. This basic measurement uses no persistent visitor identifier or analytics cookie. Optional Datadog diagnostics, described below, use separate session storage after consent. A view is a page load, not a unique person.
Events include the current Runnerless domain and bounded campaign labels. Successful signup events use the first acquisition details. We use aggregate reports to assess interest, on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding demand. Browser blocking can make measurements incomplete.
Optional Datadog diagnostics
Only if you choose “Allow diagnostics”, we load Datadog Real User Monitoring to understand performance, errors and interactions. We sample 100% of consenting sessions for diagnostics and 20% for masked session replay. The signup and optional-answer area is hidden from replay; other page text and inputs are masked. We do not assign your email or signup identifier to a Datadog user profile. Query strings and fragments are removed from view and resource URLs; referrers retain only their origin.
Datadog receives technical browser, device, network and session information through its EU service at datadoghq.eu, including your IP when delivering requests. First-party session cookies distinguish consenting sessions on each domain. Cross-domain tracking and long-lived anonymous user tracking are disabled. The private dashboard does not load Datadog. Datadog processes this information under its privacy policy and applicable data-processing and transfer terms.
Your consent is optional and separate from signup consent. We store your choice locally in this browser for 180 days on each domain. You can change or withdraw it at any time using “Diagnostics preferences” in the footer, then “No thanks”. Withdrawal stops further diagnostics and replay; it does not undo processing that occurred before withdrawal. Datadog’s standard RUM retention is 30 days, subject to account retention settings, separately from our lead and page-event cleanup. See Datadog’s data security and deletion documentation. Contact us for access or removal requests concerning previously collected data.
Cloudflare and security
Cloudflare hosts the site and database, processes network requests, and provides Turnstile abuse prevention and Access protection for the private dashboard. Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect these services. Our analytics database does not store raw IP addresses. The rate limiter uses the connecting IP transiently. Turnstile may process browser and device signals and use security-related storage under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
The dashboard is restricted to the project operator. Cloudflare may process data globally, including outside your country, under its applicable data-processing and transfer terms. Emails sent to our contact address are forwarded through Cloudflare to Gmail, which processes that correspondence.
Retention and your choices
Leads and optional answers are kept for up to 12 months from signup. Raw page events are kept for 90 days. Daily scheduled cleanup removes expired records, so deletion may occur up to a day after those periods. Short-lived follow-up credentials expire after 30 minutes. Cloudflare’s service backups may persist for its documented recovery period.
You can withdraw signup consent or request access, correction, export, or deletion by emailing hello@runnerlesshq.com. We may ask you to demonstrate control of the email address before acting. You may object to interest measurement and, where applicable, complain to your data protection authority. We do not sell your information or use it for automated decisions about you.
